This February, I had the privilege of returning to one of my favorite performance venues: the enchanting forest setting of Gaytimes Festival. As an artist who has been part of this uniquely joyful celebration since 2018, each return feels like coming home to a community that embraces music in its purest, most liberating form.

I had a busy Friday night, playing 2 interstitual sets on the main stage, and then later backing it up in the club Muriels. Feeding the crowd a meal of queer bangers, nostalgic R&B throwbacks, and reimagined pop classics. There's something magical about watching a crowd respond to that perfect blend of familiar favorites and unexpected twists – seeing faces light up in recognition before surrendering completely to the rhythm.

Gaytimes was the brainchild of the wonderful Anna & Mason, two absolute powerhouses in the queer space. Since its inception in 2016, Gaytimes has remained true to its vision of creating an inclusive space where attendees can truly "frolic in the forest" without pretense or judgment. This smaller-scale festival has cultivated something increasingly rare in today's event landscape: an authentic sense of community and belonging.

Having been part of the Gaytimes journey since 2018, I've witnessed firsthand how this festival has maintained its intimate, welcoming atmosphere while continuing to evolve. It's this perfect balance that makes it one of my absolute favorite places to play.
